Driving sustainable procurement performance
Office base Lochem, 6 months (preferably February ‘19 – July ‘19)
What are you going to do?
Guided by a senior team member you will be developing a KPI dashboard to track the procurement performance against selected sustainability targets, identify focus areas, liaise with the procurement team and suppliers to improve results.
Furthermore you will lead the alignment of supplier and raw material databases across systems and business units, support the procurement team in reviewing existing internal processes, help draft standard ways of working across the group, engage with supplier under the guidance of a senior team member to gather product & supplier qualification information and support the team in other operational activities.
Background and impact of your internship: The Procurement department is responsible for the sourcing of >6M MT of animal feed raw materials from across the globe securing competitive pricing, on time supply at the right quality to guarantee the competitiveness of ForFarmers in the market place. As procurement takes a central role in the ForFarmers organisation we engage with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders resulting in a diverse job scope.
With your internship assignment you will support to further integrate and harmonise the procurement function across the 4 operating countries and enable a truly common way of working. During your internship you will have the opportunity to interact with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders to move the project forward giving you a well-rounded experience of the role of the procurement function within any multinational company.
What do we expect form you?:
• You are following a degree at HBO or University level.
• You have knowledge of or interest in procurement, supply chain, quality.
• You know how to work with computer and online programs (excel knowledge key).
• You are a result driven student and accuracy is one of your greatest competencies.
• You have a driving license and a car at your disposal.
• You are able to conduct your research largely from our office in Lochem.
