Sub-association for non-production animals

Bestia Turba Ferina (BTF) is since 2007 a sub-association of the study association “De Veetelers”. Our sub-association is all about the non-farm animals. All the way from wild animals to our beloved companion animals, and everything in between. BTF organises all kinds of activities, such as excursions to the zoo, theme nights, lectures and much more.
This year, we organised an alpaca walk. We visited the Marktplas recreation park, beautifully nestled in the Betuwe floodplains. Each of the alpacas had their own distinct character, for instance, one quickly became the group’s comedian by always lying down after every couple of steps to lazily enjoy the grass. Another walked majestically, carrying on an air of superiority, while others ran and played gleefully like children, clearly enjoying the sunny afternoon. It was a wonderfully fun and relaxing afternoon.
Every year, we organise an anatomy evening packed with discovery. On this evening, we have a closer look at different kinds of animals, from reptiles to birds to rodents and rabbits. With the help of our deception kit and experienced volunteers, we broaden your knowledge of the non-production animals. It’s a hands-on opportunity to explore the animal’s internal, combined with the knowledge and experiences of an expert who knows the species inside out.
With barking and meowing regards,
