What will you do?

As Researcher you are part of our global R&D Center where you develop an innovation vision regarding your specific area of expertise. You lead R&D projects: initiating, shaping, executing and follow up of projects together with Agrifirm's commercial business units:

 

Tasks and responsibilities:

  • You analyze research opportunities, share your vision and translate these into specific R&D projects;
  • You initiate ideas and support build-up of a business case in close consultation with business owners;
  • Prioritize, coordinate (cross functional) & validate projects. Define and shape R&D / innovation projects: required time, people, resources and resources instruments;
  • You actively support development of products, concept & tools;
  • You actively provide scientific support on demand of product management;
  • You stay up-to-date on scientific trends, product developments, research results and visit international conferences;
  • Maintain partnerships internally and externally with knowledge centers, subsidiary companies, universities, funding providers;
  • You are part of our global R&D team.

 

You will be working in a multi-disciplinary team in a network organization with limited hierarchy and room for development. You work closely with product managers, nutrition and our factories and you report to the R&D Manager Monogastrics.  

 

To be successful in this role, you need to have the following competencies:

  • PhD in the animal nutrition field
  • Knowledge of circular raw materials, biomass, feed evaluation, digestion kinetics, and sustainability (e.g. search for sustainable alternative protein rich raw materials).
  • Extensive knowledge of poultry and/or swine nutrition research and able to translate scientific developments into practice
  • 3-5y experience in the animal feed industry


As a Researchers Monogastrics, you are:

  • Capable of managing innovation projects (project management skills) from ideation to market-implementation
  • Open minded, able to connect with people with creative and innovative mindset
  • Working in an international environment : you enjoy being globally minded
  • Team player & Networker
  • Customer/market oriented
  • Fluent in English, other languages such as Dutch are a plus
  • Flexible in terms of working from different locations, i.e Apeldoorn (NL), Heeswijk-Dinther (NL) or from home
